COFFS HARBOUR

COFFS HARBOUR

The Combined Clubs field trip this year will be held in Coffs Harbour on

Coffs Harbour is about a 6 hour drive from Brisbane and Sydney.

Fish that we will target include M. duboulayi (Crimson Spotted Rainbowfish), P. signifier (Pacific Blue-eye) and R. ornatus (Ornate Rainbowfish). Riffle Shrimp are also on the list of target species. There will be the normal by-catch of gudgeons, gobies, shrimps, and yabbies.

The proposed program is:

  • Friday: assemble in Woolgoolga.
    • Friday evening – an informal get together at a nearby pub for dinner.
  • Saturday: Fish south and west of Coffs
    • Morning – Fish south of Coffs. Departure Time 8.30am.
    • Lunch in a local pub (possibly Sawtell).
    • Afternoon – Fish west of Coffs
    • Saturday evening – a swap meet and auction in the Camp Kitchen, followed by dinner in a local restaurant.
